Accessorizing With Yellow And Green.

So, what do you do when you get bored with a room in your house?  Well, you move items from one room to another and refresh, right? ;)  Some of the decor items below were in my dining room, and I moved them to my Baker's Rack in the kitchen.
All the items you see above were purchased from Hobby Lobby for 50% off, score!
Even this little pot was purchased from Hobby Lobby.  I filled it with faux fruit from the Dollar Tree.
I showed you these Dollar Tree plates before, as they were on my dining room table. I moved them and decided to leave them stacked on my Baker's Rack shelf and placed a faux artichoke and grapes in the bowl.
I love this little lamp. I got it at Ross for $6.00.
I love the pop of yellow. Before I had a lot of green displayed on the Baker's Rack, and it was feeling a little blah, now it seems a bit cheerier now. :)
I added a big glass candle holder and placed a green garland inside. Below, I placed faux oranges in the glass containers.
In the foyer area, I made this apple arrangement.
I love the wispiness of the greenery.
Green garden balls are wonderful to use anywhere in your house, very versatile.
Lastly, I will leave you with my front porch. I used to have an outdoor fireplace here, but I moved it to the backyard now that our patio is done. I didn't know what to put in it's place, so I placed this chest here and placed pillows on top for a pop of color.
A view from inside the house. :)
So, the moral of the story is, if you get bored with items in one room, simply move them to another room and refresh. :)  Thanks for stopping by! XOXO ~Liz

Tuscan Style Vignettes

Hi there, friends! I hope you had a great weekend! Today, I would like to share some Tuscan style vignettes I created last week.
Ok y'all, I went to Ross last week and found some Tuscan - style jugs. I snatched them FAST and they were VERY inexpensive. I placed them on my Hobby Lobby outdoor table that I use indoors. ;)
I tried them in several different vignettes and thought I would share the pictures. I tweak, tweak, and tweak some more until I get it just the way I like it. ;)
Mr. Roo found his way into the arrangement.  I'm really into yellow and green right now.
I found this pretty plate and bowl at Marshall's last week and placed a French Garden ball into the bowl.
I love these French garden balls and you can buy these at Real Deals.

I tried it two different ways. I 1st placed the plate on a plate holder in one of my wire cake holders, and set the bowl and garden ball inside it.
I  then moved it to the dining room table and placed it on a place mat.
I got a Baker's Rack at Hobby Lobby last week and had fun decorating it.
Faux Pears sitting on a bed of greenery, perfect for Spring!
Here is the top part of the Baker's Rack.
I'm starting to add bits and pieces of Spring here and there!
Marshall's has a lot of inexpensive pottery. I bought this pot and dropped another French Garden Ball inside it!
I brought my Tuscan bowl into the vignette and placed it on a wicker tray, added a bunny, and some pastel Easter Eggs.
In the photo below, I was playing around with different ideas and ways to incorporate the jugs into a vignette.
I added a little moss to make this vignette look a bit more rustic in appearance.
I experimented with the jugs and dropped topiaries into each one.
Green, green, green....I'm addicted to the color green! ;) It's my favorite color, all different shades of green.
I love cozy corners with lamps...
I even played with different tables, ha!
This table won!
I added this metal Roo and added greenery.
And then added a rustic black mirror above the shelf.
I played with the idea of using a placemat behind the plant to add some texture.
And here is the vignette without the placemat.
 Bring on the Spring decor.....
I hope you enjoyed all my "tweaking" ideas. Tweaking is the fun part of decorating, as it allows the creativity gates to open up. The possibilities are endless.;)
Thanks for stopping by!
Big ((Hugs)) ~Liz
Side Note: I will be replying to comments here on my blog from now on, it's so much easier that way. So, check back. :)

Wall Vignette

Hi there! It's time to share a simple wall vignette. I had a blank wall that was driving me nuts, hmm, what to do I asked myself?
Hmm....think, think, think! I know, a Tuscan Style, Rooster-themed wall vignette to go on the wall in between the kitchen and dining room, so that's what I did! ;)
I love Roosters and found these two pictures at Hobby Lobby for 50% off, so I snagged them just as fast as I could.
I found the wall shelf at Ross for $19.99. It looked Tuscan Style to me, so I grabbed it fast! I don't see these often at Ross. ;)
I adore these warm colors, and Roosters are so darn cute!
The candle sconces are from Pier 1 Imports.
The Boxwood garden balls are from Tuesday Morning, $3.99 each. I thought it would be fun to place the Garden Balls on the sconces instead of candles.
I placed two Roosters and some greenery on the shelf.
And....whala, a cute little vignette!
I later decided to add this bowl of garden balls from Real Deals.
I love it when a plan comes together, don't you?  A once lonely blank wall turned cozy. :)
Thanks for stopping by~ Liz
