My Autumn Tree And Video

Hi Everyone, I hope you enjoyed the long extended weekend, we did. Join me today, and I will share my Autumn Tree that I decorated.
This is how my tree looked as I began to fill in with my floral picks.
I always have fun playing with different ways to add in the picks.
The colors just pop!
I love the way the light hits the top of my tree-topper in the morning.
So, this year, no deco mesh on my tree. Instead, I ran to the Dollar Tree and picked up tons of floral picks and ribbon, that's it, super simple. Umm, and cheap to boot!
This is my black halloween tree I drag out every year. This tree was pre-lit with white lights, but I added two strands of orange lights to add that warm autumn glow at night. I began dressing the tree with the tree
topper and worked my way down the tree. You will see more detail in the video below.
I absolutely love this tree. It is void of any and all ornaments. So, when I say it's simple, it is! All I did was use floral picks and ribbon.
The colors are a bit more muted that what I normally use, but I love it.
When I think of Autumn, I think of all of these wonderful colors throughout the tree.
It really glows and adds warmth - very, very cozy, indeed!
Kids love these trees, so if you have children and even if you don't, you will really enjoy this type of tree all Autumn long.
Add some Fall ornaments, or create a "themed tree" for fall - pack the tree with pumpkins, owls, etc....and you can transition it into a Halloween Tree in October.
Below is a quick video snippet I took, I hope you like it.

Thanks for visiting, sweet friends.

xoxo, Liz

Decorate Your Candle Chandelier For Fall

Hi there! Join me and I'll show you how I decorated my candle chandelier for Fall.
I found this candle chandelier at Ross for only $13.99. I knew just where I would put it, above my kitchen island.
I dressed the chandelier by looping two different garlands around the bottom of it, and then added candles....simple, simple, simple.
I love the ambiance, so warm and festive.
 See...it has that Autumn glow.
Below is a quick video snippet of my chandelier.

Thanks for visiting!

My Autumn Mantle And Video

Hi Ladies, today I would like to share my family room mantle decorated for Fall.
So, have you all been struck by the *fall* decorating bug yet? I have! ;)
This is my Autumn mantle. It's messy, imperfect, but I like it that way. I think it adds character, ha!
I used everything I had from previous years, but added the new candle sconces from Ross.
I added pumpkins and acorns.
My everyday greenery was used as my base, and then I began to layer with my fall floral picks and garlands.
I like adding layers because it adds depth and texture.
I added Curly Willow branches for a rustic element.
I used fall arrangements in metal vases on each end of the mantle to add balance in relation to the TV.
I love these candle sconces and they were so cheap. :)
The LED lights behind the flat screen (which were off in this photo) cast a beautiful shadowy effect at night onto the fall mix.
 I love wooden acorns.
Thanks for visiting and below is a quick video snippet of my fall mantle.

Chalkboards In The Kitchen + Some Fall Inspiration

Happy Monday, everyone! Today, I would like to share three chalkboards I have in the kitchen. The one you see directly below I found at HomeGoods.
This  chalkboard was a tiny project. It was actually a picture and I painted the glass with Chalkboard paint, and repurposed it.  I hung this chalkboard on my pantry door using Velcro Sticky Back Tape. Let me tell you, this tape holds.
This chalkboard I also found at HomeGoods and it sits on the kitchen island.
Chalkboards are fun to use for decorating because you can change the text and pictures through the seasons.
Now onto some inspiration I found at Pier 1 Imports. I absolutely love their seasonal plates and these Autumn plates are gorgeous.
Another idea is placing mini lights in your lanterns. I did this in my family room lantern, but I added pumpkins and autumn leaves....I like to call it - Fall in a Lantern. I will share this soon.
The pillows are adorable. You don't need to break the bank adding new fall pillows to your sofas, simply add a fall pillow to the mix, or place on a chair.
Adding dried fall foliage to containers you have at home is a simple way to add those warm autumn colors to any room.
Isn't this pretty? Decorating with plates, containers, and fall foliage in big containers really brings that warmth to any space.
Well, I hope you gathered a few ideas when you are ready to decorate for Fall. Get those ideas flowing....I did! ;)  Thanks for visiting.

XO ~Liz

It's Autumn In August

Hi there! Yes, you read the title correct, it sure is Autumn in August over at...The Tuscan Home.
Every year, right before the kids go back to school, I get busy decorating for Fall. Join me, and I will share what I have completed around the house.
I have lots of metal and Iron wall decor, and all through the year, I simply change out the wreaths with the seasons.
I have a black hutch in the kitchen dining area. I love adding fall colors, because it looks cozy against the black backdrop.
On the top of my hutch I added a large basket and filled it with pumpkins and gourds. I added two fall leaf garlands and two berry garlands to add dimension.
Here is another example of adding a wreath to metal wall decor. In this photo I hung my wreath with wire ribbon.
In the family room, on a sofa table I added a few leaf plates.
Here is the family room mantle. I added a lit fall leaf garland and some berry garlands, too! I placed twig pumpkins in amongst the garland.
I adore the the earthy, warm, fall colors throughout the house.
I always have an Autumn Tree, so this year my theme is a Pumpkin Tree.
I used a large twig pumpkin as my tree topper, ha! I added tons of fall leaves, twig branches, and beige deco mesh and wired ribbon.
Happy Harvest, y'all! ;)
In the living room I added two wooden pumpkins in amongst some greenery.
In the kitchen, I filled up a huge glass canister with tons of multi-colored beans that you can buy at the grocery store. I placed some greenery in the beans and then layered it with some tall fall floral picks.  I took out my pumpkin wax warmer, and placed some "pumpkin spice" wax melts inside, can you smell the pumpkin now??? ;)
In the dining room, I hung a wreath in the window and placed an Autumn floral arrangement beneath it.
Here is the kitchen dining area with the hutch decorated for Fall.
In the office I sat a pumpkin on top of the greenery.
I love this family platter I found at Walmart two years ago.  I placed some sunflower floral picks just under the platter.
Last week, I found these two pretty cloches at Tuesday Morning and placed some Fall Potpourri inside the cloches, to add a splash of color.
In the dining room, I layered with pumpkins, leaves, gourds, and acorns...right around my candle centerpiece.
In this glass vase, I placed fall apples and acorns in around my candle.
In this photo, I added a fall twig pumpkin that has berries, a small pumpkin, and a big leaf on it.
Here is the living room. I will share better pictures soon. It was hard to get a good shot with my iPhone.
I filled a large glass vase with rustic pumpkins and placed them around my candle.
Here is a shot of our dining room.
I'm in love with the super tall windows in the living room, it lets so much light in. :)
I decorated my mirror by hanging the letter R (for our last name) and added a fall berry garland at the top. I also decorated the home office, too!
Well, although it's still summer, and I'm loving every second of it, I am also enjoying my warm, cozy, and earthy Autumn decor, during summer, ha! I know, I'm crazy-e!
Thanks for visiting! xo, ~Liz
