Christmas Sneak Peek

Well, hello-hello! Anyone there? ;) Sorry for being MIA, but I've been having fun decorating our home for Christmas.  Join me and I'll show you what I've been working on.
So, I decided to go with a red and green theme throughout the house.
I found the Deer at Homegoods and decided to use them as a focal point on the dining room table.
I layered my items to make it interesting.  I used two table runners and began to place things to my liking.  I used the candle votives to hold an ornament on either side.
Mr. Santa stands between two trees and a large berry wreath hangs above on my iron gate.
I used gold, red, and green throughout the dining room.
I got creative in the kitchen. I took down my curtains and used a lit garland around my curtain rod, and then hung ornaments from ribbon and varied them at different heights.
This is a view from my front porch looking into the house.  This is the Living Room tree.
I have two upper windows in the Dining Room and I sat ornaments on candle votives. I love the sparkle in the window.
This is the family room tree during daylight hours, no lights were turned on. This is our funky, wild, crazy, and fun looking tree.
Below is another tree I am working on with bubble lights.
I'm introducing red into the kitchen for the holidays, too!
So now that everything is just about done, I can now kick my feet up and enjoy the sparkle, shimmer, and shine. I hope to be loading a bunch of pictures to share soon, so stay tuned! Thanks for visiting! XO, Liz

My Christmas Decorating Has Begun

Hello, hello! Well, I know you are going to think I've lost my marbles, as I do every November, so it's probably no surprise to you that I have started my Christmas decorating transformation.
<Insert - rolling the eyes emoticon here>
I know, I know...C R A Z Y! ;)
I simply can't help myself, I'm ready for some red and green colors!  I searched the web for an "inspiration tree" and tried to copy it. So far, I am in-love with my tree. What you see in the two photos are the beginning stages. This tree is dressed with many different ribbons. As I stated in a previous post, I sold almost all my x-mas decor when we moved. This year, it's almost like starting from scratch.
I purchased a pre-lit 9ft tree on Sunday and bought a ton of ribbon and Deco Mesh. I had thought about doing a different color theme this year, but decided to stick with what I love best, traditional red and green, it makes me happy! Plus, the kids LOVE it!  Instead of packing the tree with a gazillion ornaments, I will be packing it with a lot of different ribbon. Wait till you see the transformation, it's whimsical!
I found this at Big Lots yesterday, it still has the tags on it, but these are LED candles, battery operated that come sitting on a tray.  These candles flicker just like a real candle. I'm going to dress this display up with some holiday greens and holly.
I took all my Fall decor down and placed everything in bins.
It always amazes me how fast I can take it all down compared to how long it takes me to put it all out. Ha!
Stacked my wreaths, ready to go into a box.
It feels great to have it all put away and now I feel like I'm starting with a blank canvas, ready to paint my vision. ;)
Bye-bye Fall decor, until next year!
Below is a sneak peek at my living room mantle.
Back to work....I love decorating for Christmas, it's so much fun!
Tootles, and thanks for visiting! xo, Liz
